More than just a remarkable tasting, an Oenofolie is designed to be a journey for the senses, an oustanding and delightful exploration. This unforgettable event is proposed free of charge to wine enthusiasts and people curious to discover and taste quality wine in a different way. Each Oenofolie corresponds to a unique and unusual scenario.


Oeonofolie n°15 Egg Hunt 31th March 2018 

For the third consecutive year, Easter was celebrated with joy at the château Larrivet Haut Brion!

Food and wine pairings were tasted with the Maison Saunion chocolate maker:
- Château Larrivet Haut-Brion 2003 with a cru chocolate Sao Tome
- Château Larrivet Haut-Brion 2011 with a cru chocolate S de Saunion
- Les Demoiselles de Larrivet Haut-Brion 2013 with a blended chocolate Ebène.

The wine and design award was given to the students of the ECV Bordeaux School, who decorate our concrete egg this year with a delicate constellation of gold and turquoise.

Oenofolie n°14 from sea to earth 27th of march 2018

2018: A new comparative tasting reveals the maturing of three wines.

The Château Larrivet Haut Brion, with its innovative and travellers mind-set, enjoys discovering new unique experiences. Intrigued by the legend of wine ageing at sea ( In the 18th century, it was said that Bordeaux wine that came back from India, revealed themselves to taste better), the Château’s team launched in 2011 an quest for an oenological grail, by prolonging the ageing of the 2009 vintage two different ways.

Oenofolie n°13 Easter Oenofolie  - April 2017

For the Easter holidays, the Château Larrivet Haut Brion wanted to welcome children and adults, amateurs and experts for a great day of discovery.

Chocolate and wine tasting with the good company of Thierry Lallet, from the Maison Saunion Chocolate maker, and Bruno Lemoine and Emilie Gervoson from the Château Larrivet Haut Brion was the main program for the day.

Egg hunt for the kids.

Design and Wine award for the students of the ECV Bordeaux School for the creation of a graphic design to decorate our egg shaped vats.

Oenofolie n°12 « Wine and perfume, nose to nose » 9th of Nov

The last 9th of November, the Château Larrivet Haut-Brion chose to put the honour on two exceptional products of French expertise: wine and perfume, for the 12th oenofolie” Wine and Perfume, nose to nose”.  

For this event, curious and amateurs could discover the resemblance and differences between these two universes across an interactive dialogue, mixing conversation, olfactory experiences and tastings.

It is in the heart of the 2nd district of Paris, in the concept store Nose, that the guests could participate in the privileged exchange between Bruno Lemoine, General CEO and wine maker of Château Larrivet Haut-Brionand Romano Ricci, perfumor and creator of the brand “Juliette has a gun”. Amongst the theme addressed, Bruno Lemoine and Romano Ricci particularly shed light on the importance of smell in the fabrication process.






Oenofolie n°9 : Inebriation, such an art ! 3rd May 2015

Inebriation, a word that needs to be understood for its primary signification, poetic and exalting. It is the essence of its own meaning that brought together Emilie Gervoson, daughter of the owner of Château Larrivet Haut-Brion, and the calligraphy artist Lasaâd Metoui for this exhilarating collaboration.

The wine and art amateurs invited at this 9th oenofolie, had the luck to witness live creation by Lassaâd Metoui, considered as one of the most talented calligraphists of his generation.

The oenofolie also presented the end of year boxes, decorated by the artist’s elegant patterns. “Enjoyment”, “Inebriation” , “Delicateness” and “Pleasure”.
